Grant asked Isaac to make a happy face, and then a mad face, and then a sad face. The drama queen was poised and ready for just such an occassion.

He asked Annie next.

This one took her a lot of giggling to get to.

Elise does happy, too.

I'm having entirely too much fun dressing this little girl. I've really gotten into baby clothes with Jake, and then her. It's silly but...irresistable and so freaking SATISFYING. The first 3 kids just wore onesies or a diaper all the time and I never really thought about it much.

Aaron is so good at this. I left him with her for a little while last night - when I came back he was holding a comb near her ear, and running his nail up and down the teeth of it "so she could hear". Sensory boy is ultra aware of stuff like that, with her - he'll run his hands under cold water and dry them so that she can feel "clammy skin"...all kinds of things like that. I was standing in the hallway near the elevator yesterday, trying to figure out what a smell was, and he got on saying, "Mmm, leechies" and it was like Eureka, boy, you've done it!

Later last night he got Eric Carle's "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" to "read" her. He actually has it memorized, but in any case he got it right the whole way through, turning the pages to show her each picture. Then he stroked her hair until she fell asleep.

There are no less than 3 penguins in that shot.

She now turns her head from one side to the other a couple of times anytime I lay her on her belly, and today Grant and I were rather shocked to see it looking like she was going to ROLL OVER. She didn't, but she's definitely lifting her head slightly higher than parallel with her body, now, and doing that banana shaped crescent thing where their head and their feet are up and they sort of almost rock, on their belly. She's sometimes a couple of inches from where I set her, when I pick her up, just from all the squirming. Right now Grant has her completely wrapped in a blanket with only her face showing, out on the couch, talking to her and getting her to make silly faces...but alas, there are no camera batteries at the moment :p

Oh my gosh, so freaking cute!!! That last shot really is amazing. I love the kids expressions!

It's so cool to hear her doing so well. She'll totally blow everyone away!

I'm emailing you! :)
