Well, I've had mild to moderate contractions every few minutes for the past 5 1/2 hours. By every few minutes, I mean probably no less than 2 and no more than 10 minutes apart. They seem to last a good minute each, sometimes longer. Some of them are kind of intense, most are just uncomfortable.

And we're now under a hurricane watch o_O I REALLY don't want to be faced with "I'm in labor, and there's a hurricane going on" OR "I'm in labor, but a hurricane is about to hit and the kids are scared". It's kind of ridiculous, because on the news they're talking about how the biggest hazard right now is that all the debris from Hurrican Katrina is still piled up in front of everyone's houses, and will become projectiles. My poor dad, they're evacuating all the tourists from Key West again, and they JUST came back. He's going to be so, so broke (he drives a cab).

It's been an ok day. Grant and I joined forces and did a bunch of cleaning this evening. We had taco salad for dinner. He's being really good to me, and I'm appreciating all of the kids a lot.

I think there is a slight possibility that I have a small fluid leak. But I can't tell for sure, so I'm going with "slight possibility". I imagine it will be more clear as time passes? I only began to suspect in the past half hour.

I know this isn't terribly exciting, but I also know that some of you are watching for updates. So...there you have it :p

I actually just ran out of tea yesterday! I wish I had some more. I was dropping two bags at a time into a giant plastic cup and having it like that, cold style, every day.

Well, haha, scratch that. Grant walked up as I was typing, and was like "You think they'd have it at Walgreens? I'll be right back" and left. I think he really wants something he can be doing, in this.

This suspected fluid thing - I have to push to start peeing, now, when I go to the bathroom, and I FEEL like I have to pee terribly even when I really don't. So anyway the last time I went and attempted to struggle and pee, I thought I felt something miniscule come out of "there" (:p) and when I checked it out, it was totally clear, thin, watery - nothing viscous or thick or anything about it. Enough to dampen the toilet paper as if I had peed. There's SO MUCH discharge in pregnancy, though, you know? I sneezed since writing this entry and thought I might have felt something else, and it seems like there was a little more there. But both times, it's not enough to wet my pants - just enough to feel if I'm feeling for it. :::shrug:::

Thank you :)

And, I was glad to read that you're feeling a bit better. That Petrified Forest place sounded totally awesome.

Have the baby already! Every time I read one of your entries you're all "I'm having contractions... maaaaaaybe". Stop teasing me! I want to see a baby announcement and pictures! :D

What all that means is good luck and I hope all goes well... I suppose I'll have to be in suspense for now.

Oh, they're DOING something. What they're doing is preparing and strengthening your muscles to go through labor. You know this, but I thought I'd provide a reminder. :) And these entries are just making me look forward to mine, coming pretty shortly after yours. :D

My midwife said to know if it's fluid or not (if you don't have a PH strip with you), move around when you feel it. If it intensifies or changes when you change position, particularly if you stand or sit - it's probably fluid. If not it's probably bladder or discharge (like mucous plug. Which, btw, if you're dilating, may continually ooze out in a semi-liquidy way until you give birth like mine did).

I can't STAND it!

Okay, yes I can. But only because I have too. I think I may be as excited about the impending birth of this baby as I was about my nieces and nephews.
