Grant was out of town for all of these, and Robby and Correy were along for both but unpictured :)
Isaac and Elise before school - they had a half day featuring trick or treating between classes - she's "The Queen of the Ladybugs."

I made these wings years ago for another costume and they've been brought out so. many. times. Cardboard, felt, trim and elastic cord.

He was extremely pleased about this :)

Annie, in a dress I used to wear all the time as a teenager! She pinned it in the back to minimize the "mumu" effect.

Aaron the dementor. Later in the evening, he stood still like this until trick or treaters got close, and then scared them.

Jakey :) Lots of people asked him to play for candy.

Annie put black and red dots all over her face before we went out in the evening. She was over the itchy wig.

There were a lot of garage and yard displays, some of which were really awesome, but none of which were easy to photograph in the dark...

Trick or treating:

Passing out candy.

Logan and Adrian at PATH the day after, on their phones.

I just took Annie to the Day of the Dead celebration (she was dying to come, and demanded to do her own makeup).
We were in the bathroom of a Subway at this point:

Shuttle stop.

She got compliments from strangers on her makeup and her shirt (a My Little Pony done up as Dr Who).
Event pictures:

A place to write names of loved ones to remember...

Altar.

Many people had set up big shrines to their own deceased...

It was really fun. The art was all amazing, the items for sale made me wish I had hundreds of dollars, there were hilarious partiers and somber celebrants. There were also tons of really good food trucks - Annie and I both had bubble tea for the first time (which was awesome) and FAB-U-LOUS grilled cheese sandwiches from MsCheezious.
