Elise keeps randomly saying 2, 3 and 4 words phrases I've never heard out of her before. Like, all day every day :D Yesterday she brought me a bottle of nail polish and said, "Paint my nails?" Later I was brushing her hair and when it pulled, she said "Big knot". Then in the evening she went looking for the brush, and said "Brush my hair more?" She also got the idea totally spontaneously to have her birthday at the beach. I had NO IDEA what she was talking about at first, she walked up to me and sang "Ha-ppy doo-day, happy doo-hay - each! Wah-wee!" (beach, water). It took a lot of questions and some help from Ananda to figure it out :p She also wants a blue cake and whenever it comes up she says "Lees! Twoooo - THREE!"
I am so excited about this birthday, it's silly...I got some little decorations for the blue cake, tonight (sea creatures made of sugar, at Publix) and her candles, and a tube of white decorator icing to write on it with. I even found her a card with a princess ballerina on the front, that plays Fur Elise.

Bob.

Fashionista.

Melt my heart.

HOW CAN HE BE THIS BIG?!

Dinner tonight. Bacon tomato and avocado sandwiches with broccoli and cheese soup. And salsa, and bananas with peanut butter. The lanky one with the iPod cords is Ananda ;)

And then there are these two that I couldn't stand to cut <3 I was out writing while A and A were at a special rehearsal, and Grant got out the camera.

I love these two pictures SO MUCH ♥
I submitted a children's story to a children's book agency, today. And decided on someone I'm going to be querying by mail about my surgery book. And wrote more of the surgery book. And sifted endlessly through agents for my short stories and for this other thing I have.
I'm also seriously considering http://www.authonomy.com I registered tonight, but mostly just so I could explore more. It is a really fascinating concept, especially as it results in publication for people who are writing books the MOST PEOPLE LOVE READING AND RECCOMEND, rather than those who are good at marketing themselves through query letter. If I do go that route I'm going to shamelessly solicit everyone who reads here to sign up there and rate my stuff.
Grant and I just got done watching Pretty Woman. I really, really love that movie in a totally familiar, from childhood sort of way. Yes, I wanted to be a hooker when I grew up. For about a month.

Date: 2010-04-25 07:34 pm (UTC)and thanks about the smoking ..now if I can only stop eating I would be great :o) thing is when I say I am on a diet or even try to monitor what I eat I am just so freakin' hungry I just can't help it ...I've been thinking to tell my dad ( whom I live with ) that he will have to buy his own sweets( cookies and deserts) and hide them as I just don't have the willpower to do it myself
I really like the idea of the plan you follow but my dad wouldn't do well on it...but I am trying and I can't really exercise now with just having stomach surgery ( and being scared to pop another hernia ) so I am walking lots ...and want to buy a bike for summer
and btw LOL how freaking hard is it not to lift and carry anything I am having just the hardest time with that too :P
have a great day

The food thing is really hard. This plan is giving me major trouble this time around. I've lost some weight and not backtracked, but I've kind of plateaued because I end up cheating in some way or other just about every day. I seriously feel like I'd rather hit myself in the head with a baseball bat than continue on ETL right now. But...usually this feeling passes and I'm glad I stuck to it? I don't know.

Date: 2010-04-25 08:13 pm (UTC)I wish you luck with ETL ...funny thing is if I lived alone I'd eat so much different than I do now it's a bit hard to explain but when I moved in with my dad I didn't change the way "he" did/does things and now I'm a bit stuck with it LOL ...summer is always a bit easy for some reason to eat salads and a tad healthier for me anyhow SO I wish me luck too :D
But I still wanna eat at your house :)

Date: 2010-04-25 08:17 pm (UTC)Honestly today is like..peak hardness...and I seriously just went in my bedroom and threw myself down like a toddler and cried on the bed about how this sucks, and I don't want my life to hang in the balance of what I eat, and I want to lose weight but I don't want to deal with this crap, and all this hooey....and I think I just needed to get it out. Because I feel a lot better now. I came out and Grant and Isaac had made a xylophone out of Izze bottles filled with various amounts of water, and Ananda and Elise just made lemonade, and really, what the heck do I have to complain about?
