This goes on for half an hour or so :)

Remember Animal, from the Muppets?

We just got back in a little while ago. Isaac woke up rather early today - before the other kids or anyone - and so I was up with him at around 8. Bleary eyed as all get out. He's adorable, though, and was super happy and nice. We had breakfast together, and then he pooped what would normally end up in 3 diapers. At least it all got out at once ;) He was SO HAPPY to see Ananda and then Aaron a while later, when they got up. He kept kissing Aaron and then demanding "More! more more!"

We all went up to the birth center, saw the chiro again. Kathy, his name is Eduardo Martinez, he goes by Eddie, his adress is 3151 sw 27 Ave, in Coconut Grove, and the number is (305)443-4636. Open M-Th, 9-1 and 4-7. I've gained 11 pounds this pregnancy, which I find highly reasonable, baby's still head down, and based on my urine I need to be drinking a lot more water. I wonder how that is even possible. Don't these people know I have kids to raise, and can't spend ALL DAY in the bathroom? When I was leaving them to watch Blue Clues in the kids' waiting room, Ananda and Aaron worked together on either side of a chair, to move it to in front of the tv, and then got up and sat in it together. I love it when they do stuff like that. The chiro asked that universal question, "Are they twins?"

Before coming home, we headed to this place up there that Grant found on a map, a forest/campground. It ended up being pretty cool, we saw horses right on the other side of a slatted fence, lots of cranes, a good dozen turtles swimming around, and several banana spiders. Also we read about some trees on little signs along a path, Ananda can now tell a Gumbo Limbo tree from a Poison Wood Tree. And she spotted a raccoon chilling like RIGHT below this little bridge we were on, watching us. And there were squirrels when we got there, and a big old caterpillar that was moving fast, right in front of us, at one point...Tadpoles. It was a wildlife bonanza. And then a train went by really close, at the end, and made Aaron's day (well, that and driving past the airport twice). Grant took some pictures I might post later. Isaac did really well walking with us, too. We stopped at the Cuban Bakery on the way home for empanadas and pastelitos. Mmm. Even if they were out of chicken.

Do any of you ever look at my ticker? It's insane! It says "Only 64 days to go" right now.

I had such a good time hanging out with Isaac today and this evening. It's the first time, I think, that I really felt we WERE "hanging out", like in the way that Ananda and I do. He came up to my chair and signed food while saying "Eat, eat", so we went in the kitchen, and I asked if he'd like an apple. He said "PEESE!" in that scrunched up nose grin way of his :) So I sat there telling him how I was peeling it, and cutting it, and he was totally patient and said Thank You when I handed it to him. I told him I was going to start dinner, and needed some chicken from the fridge - I asked if he could say "chicken", and he did, and laughed when I clapped, as he ate his apple slices. I opened the dishwasher and steam came out and he said "Hot". After I explained that I needed a lid for a pan and got one from a low cabinet, and turned to stir something, I felt him putting something on my hip, and when I looked, it was another lid! He was looking really hopeful like he was trying to help. It was so damn sweet. Then things started sizzling, and he said "See! See!" so I picked him up to look. He gives me hugs now, too. Like puts both little arms around me as I'm holding him, and shimmies his little butt down to where he can lay his head on my chest, and squeezes me :) He asked for "wawa" when he got thirsty and "Seat!" when the food was done, so he could sit in his seat to eat. I told him I was going to take off his diaper cover while he ate, so it wouldn't get food on it, and he said "Diaper" and started pulling it down himself. I think of several new things I could add to his word list every day lately :) He was just so generally pleasant and interested in what was going on. Earlier as I was moving room to room cleaning he was hanging out with me, too, and I would stop to read him books or let him help me carry some laundry. He's wonderful. I was nursing him before bed, and stopped to ask "Are you ready to go brush your teeth now?" He popped off long enough to say "More milk" and I said ok, but soon we'll brush your teeth. And a couple of minutes later when I asked again, he said "Tee, tee" and pointed to his teeth, and off to teeth he went with a cheerful "No more". :::sigh of toddler bliss:::

I'm glad I didn't accept any offers when I put him up for sale a couple of weeks ago o_O
