I had a horrible day today. Isaac pulled a dresser down on himself, I fell. Ananda was haughty and awful. Grant had to work from morning until after dark despite it being a holiday, and we missed the fireworks show.
But I wrote 2000 more words tonight, and somehow that makes me feel ok overall.

Date: 2006-07-05 11:33 am (UTC)Cerys is haughty every damn day. Tests the limits of my patience, that's for sure. My mantra has become "She's spirited and intelligent; it's a normal part of her development...." (sometimes through gritted teeth).

Ananda is NEVER a pain, it is extremely weird for her to get a timeout or have an attitude or whatever.

Date: 2006-07-05 05:18 pm (UTC)A study out today could lead to an increase in the number of pregnant women who try for a vaginal birth after a cesarean section, a type of delivery called a VBAC.
The study, published in Obstetrics & Gynecology, involved 17,890 women with a prior C-section who delivered at one of 19 academic U.S. medical centers from 1999 through 2002.
It found that those who'd had multiple C-sections were no more likely to have a uterine tear, or rupture, than those who'd had only one C-section.

Date: 2006-07-05 05:35 pm (UTC)In 2004, Hankins' committee said that the only women with multiple C-sections who are candidates for a VBAC are those with a prior vaginal delivery. The new study found that having a prior vaginal delivery made no difference.
Maybe things will be a little tiny bit different by the time I decide to get pregnant again...if nothing else I feel safer in general with stuff like that, even if I have to forgo the medical community altogether.
