I had a horrible day today. Isaac pulled a dresser down on himself, I fell. Ananda was haughty and awful. Grant had to work from morning until after dark despite it being a holiday, and we missed the fireworks show.

But I wrote 2000 more words tonight, and somehow that makes me feel ok overall.

Ah man, that sounds crummy. Writing always makes me feel better too. Are you writing any particular thing or a whole bunch of stuff, medical birth stuff maybe? I'm not sure if somehow I missed it or not. I feel like a doofus for asking but it's better than being too much of a doofus to ask. :P

Cerys is haughty every damn day. Tests the limits of my patience, that's for sure. My mantra has become "She's spirited and intelligent; it's a normal part of her development...." (sometimes through gritted teeth).

Well, I've written about this a LOT lately, but I've begun to think that I post at such weird hours that half the time nobody sees my posts anymore. Basically...I've got a novel, called "Cracked", that is something I started years ago but left alone for a long time. It's almost done now, though, as I recently set a goal to be done with it by the end of summer. I write for at least an hour every night before I go to bed. I have all the plans and a whole outline for another novel that I'll start on when I'm done with this one, in addition to keeping on working on a collection of childrens' stories that I have plans for (and one written..) I wrote a childrens' book about 2 years ago as well but I'm not sure if I'll do anything with it or not.

One of my goals is to have an agent by sometime this Fall.

Ananda is NEVER a pain, it is extremely weird for her to get a timeout or have an attitude or whatever.

Oh cool. I think I've just been preoccupied and thought you were talking about a book you'd read, lol. I had a good week there where I wasn't on the computer much too. I e-suck! :P

That is so amazing your ability to write like that. I struggle over a 100 words and for you they just flow.

My son knocked over a dresser too the other day. I ended up moving it to the closet. Thank goodness it wasn't heavy.

That has always been my thing, though...I have literally dozens of spiral bound notebooks filled, cover to cover - they're all journals I've kept during or since high school. I actually miss having to write papers for school. A lot. I write Shaun's for him sometimes (he was still in college until recently) just for the satisfaction of doing it...other times he pays me ;)

Did you see this?

A study out today could lead to an increase in the number of pregnant women who try for a vaginal birth after a cesarean section, a type of delivery called a VBAC.

The study, published in Obstetrics & Gynecology, involved 17,890 women with a prior C-section who delivered at one of 19 academic U.S. medical centers from 1999 through 2002.

It found that those who'd had multiple C-sections were no more likely to have a uterine tear, or rupture, than those who'd had only one C-section.

WOW! Thank you :) No, I hadn't seen it. In addition to the part you pasted here, I especially liked this;

In 2004, Hankins' committee said that the only women with multiple C-sections who are candidates for a VBAC are those with a prior vaginal delivery. The new study found that having a prior vaginal delivery made no difference.

Maybe things will be a little tiny bit different by the time I decide to get pregnant again...if nothing else I feel safer in general with stuff like that, even if I have to forgo the medical community altogether.

I'm also curious if even a stillbirth can count toward a vaginal delivery. I mean, technically it is. You went through labour and all...
