altarflame | What a loooong night

I tried to sleep on the couch, woke up about a million times. For the past few hours I feel too out of control when I wake up because of pain, and like I don't know how to handle it, so I just got up awhile ago even though everybody else is still out. House is quiet. Went to the bathroom probably a dozen times in the night, each time there's a little more plug/show whatnot. Since I've been up my contractions seem spaced out a bit - like maybe 4-5 minutes apart or something? - but they last over a minute every time. I'm feeling so much in my back, and Grant can even feel swelling when he pushes against my tailbone, that I think maybe it's hurt so much from early on because baby is/was posterior. Also, if I'm awake to feel a contraction gradually coming on, I can consciously relax, count out the seconds, breathe, whatever, and it isn't nearly as bad as when I just get woken up and surprised with the peak. Who knows. And yes, Poppy, I did get that book in the mail - thank you :). I feel really slack because I haven't been reading it, though.

I think I might go for a short walk or something.
