I've started the C25K twice, and then gotten pregnant. I know people who are already runners can keep running when pregnant, but since I was fairly new to it and getting severely out of breath like you described, it didn't feel safe so I switched to walking. I think it's a great idea though. I've always wanted to be a "runner" but it has always seemed beyond me, but a program broken down like this seems much more manageable. I'm hoping to maybe pick it back up in the fall. I hope you keep updating about it!
