This is great to read. The only thing I question is that you frequently mention wanting him to come do errands, etc, in the van with your family. I don't blame him for not wanting to tag along. He's 19, does he really want to do "family stuff" with the little kids all day? I don't know, but maybe that's why he's reluctant.
