Even then it's just recommended to use a little q-tip (with nothing on it needed but some water) and very gently wipe away the gunk!
Way easier and less painful than, "saturate with alcohol and turn it several times a day for weeks" that I was told when I got mine done with a gun as a small child. O_o;
