I honestly have NO IDEA where I'll go with it, exactly. I mean with a bachelors in psych all I can really do is light stuff at crisis centers, high school guidance counseling, things like that...anytime I look around and research it seems you have to have a masters before anyone will even consider letting you sit down one on one with people for therapy (rightly so). And it's the minimum that the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will allow before you can be a chaplain, which is something I have a huge interest in and passion for...I did volunteer chaplaincy through my local D.O.C. church for awhile, and it was incredible, but the privacy laws in Florida changed and it's all much more formal now - without attending and being sponsored by that church anymore, I can't even get past the lobby of the hospital, and I really don't like what that church has done. One reason I'd like to get more involved and rooted in a new church, is so that they could sponsor me for chaplaincy.
My sister was telling me about transpsychology (I think?) which considers spiritual health as well as physical, mental and emotional. I love analyst work and abnormal psych. I don't know what I want to do, exactly, but the good news is that as I'll be getting any and all degrees at a snail's pace and not hoping to actually do paid work in the field for another 10-15 years, I can take my time deciding ;)
