Today has been an extraordinary day of doing not one thing, just as I anticipated. I got up (AT 10 AM!!), talked to/greeted/fed all my kids, and went back to bed for FOUR MORE HOURS.

We ate grilled cheeses with bacon and tomato for very late lunch, and cookies with milk at dinner time, and awhile ago I laid out a snack-y buffet of corn chips and salsa, pita chips and hummus, good cheddar and kalamata olives, and sliced avocado with salt on it so nobody goes to bed hungry. I'm drinking wine and wasting time on the internet as they watch a movie, in preparation for a bubble bath until my husband gets home from dinner and a movie with Shaun. <--- Doesn't that sound romantic? :p

This weekend is looking BOOKED.

Saturday:
-Statistics, early
-lunch/hanging out with Kathy
-car hunting/negotiations/viewings, with Grant (ugh)

Sunday:
-mother in law arrives in town, visits with kids among other things (yay)
-actually buying a car
-late night hanging out, at Kristin's house :)

THEN. Back to the grind. Monday is Ananda and Aaron's first day of music camp. I'm currently soliciting several teenage babysitters from PATH to hang around with Isaac, Jake and Elise while I'm in class over the next five weeks. Which is not an expense we can afford at all, but was an oversight on my part and now I have to cover the time somehow :/ I've offered a nice 14 year old who recently sent out a flyer to everyone $60 per week for the 5 weeks, is that terribly insulting of me? It's 3 hours and 15 minutes per day, three days, the house will be stocked with food and I've offered rides home if she can get here on her own. It was the most I could even fathom trying to justify in our budget :/ I would give her more per hour if it were a one time thing, but it's pretty ongoing. I think if I was 14 I'd be thrilled to have a way to make $300 in just over a month that only took a few mornings out of each week, and the kids are really easy. I'll be 2 miles away with a silenced phone available for texting. I dunno.

Bath time. Just me and The Wind Through the Keyhole.
