Jan. 22nd, 2010 04:57 pmFiona Apple sang "Get Him Back" in our van, and at the end Aaron said in an announcer voice, "And that was a song about revenge".
The next day we were driving alone in the front of the Prius and I tickled him. He got all giggly and then when I stopped tried to tickle me back. I said, hey now, I'm driving you can't tickle me or we'll wreck. He immediately responded, "That terrible, because revenge is very important!"
Also on that car ride he said, "Dama said you drive really fast" o-O
And then he looked at me, with big, sad eyes that actually teared up and then spilled over as his lip pooched out just slightly. Then he grinned, wiped his face and asked, "How was that?" excitedly. Right.
Aaron: Luci taught me to do that.
Me: Luci Johnson?
Aaron: Yeah. You just don't blink for a really long time first, and then when you feel your eyes start to tingle you get someone to look at you.
Me: Huh.
Aaron: "It's simple to master, and a great way to quickly be the center of attention."
Me: Perhaps you should host seminars about this.
Aaron: No, that's what Luci said about it.
Me: REALLY?!
Aaron: Yeah.
That night, I came in my room and draped over the slat of wood running across my bed's canopy above where I lay was a letter he had written to Zoe.
Me: Aaron, you want me to send this for you?
Aaron: Well, yes. I don't exactly have envelopes spilling out of my pockets.
Me: Of course not. How silly of me.
Aaron: Exactly!
