Apparently Facebook is too conservative for the likes of me. First, yesterday, someone warned me that my update about loving showers with Grant because that man is so good at washing hair "might be tmi". Then today a different person commented on my update about loving Elise's ponytail and being wild for that toddler nape of neck by saying she finds it innapropriate, like little girls in bikinis or high heels.
There is a part of me that wants to tell commenter #1 that I didn't mean THAT hair, and commenter #2 that bikinis are passe and my child usually roams nude at beaches. Ah well.
The funny thing is that neither of those two are the people I am usually wary of offending, i.e., my real life homeschooling group members.
While we're on this subject, let me tell you what I don't like on facebook:
-cryptic updates directed at an unnamed individual, i.e., "You never understand, do you?"
-cryptic updates that are obscure song lyrics, yes, even when I recognize them
-cryptic updates that are inside jokes with one/two other person(s), which is later revealed in the resulting comment thread
-targeted advertising that uses my friends' names and pictures falsely to try to lure me into things like I.Q. tests
-invitations, gifts and so forth that involve me applying an entire app to my account
-people who update bitching about other peoples' quizzes
Because I do love quizzes. At least the ones I mostly see.
Anyway. All of this is neither here nor there, so back to my regularly scheduled day.
*salute*
