Apr. 2nd, 2009 07:05 pmI know a lot of people. People online, people in LLL, people in PATH, people my husband works with, sister hangs out with at the park, people I see at Natural Family meetups on a regular basis. And of course I'm in pretty close contact with my family and Grant's family and all the related branches of step, in-law and twice removed. I gots the new neighbors and I still gots the old neighbors we go visit. I can be comfortable around damn near anybody.
Anyway, the point is that I only consider a very few people lifelong, real friends. The kind I can actually be real with, whether that's my wack sense of humor or crying at the drop of hat or just being honest-honest without a second thought. Most of them are years old, which is fine (maybe even preferable?).
Somehow though in the last couple of months I think I'm getting not one but TWO new ones! Real life ones, even. And they're moms! It is strange but fucking awesome.
I'm excited.
