We're doing our postponed 1st round of 4-times-in-April delousing, first of all...It's Mondays instead of Fridays conquering the bugs. So that means I have to vaccum, spray, do ten loads of laundry, comb hair until my arms are falling off, etc.
But for added fun, we also had:
-the AC stop working, and AC guys coming in and out of the house and blocking the way up and down the hallway, the kids scared because they don't know them, and all repairs happening 3 feet from the door to where everyone was cycling through the shower
-Teresa coming over saying she needed Grant's help getting the water main (mane?) to what will likely be our house turned on, for the inspection
-Grant having to go train his replacement at VeriFone (the part time job where he put in his notice when we got the settlement) in the AM
-the Winery calling Grant out to train his replacement THERE (as the business folded, and he's busy with the fulltime job at HCN)
-Mindy needing money today if we're willing to lend it to her, but cash not a check, and there is so much drama there I don't even know where to start - really, it's crazy.
Worst of all is, right in the middle of this half naked, wet head, quarantine area with Jake and Isaac going nuts and strangers traipsing in and out...I got a phone call from Laura. Brian had febrile seizures and she called 911 as he turned purple :/ He didn't even seem sick, he'd been a little warm and fussy so she got in the bath with him, and he started seizing. He seems fine since he got there and at last upate, his temperature seemed to be going down...they're running a bunch of tests to try to figure out why it was so high before. Poor little guy has a catheter and everything, and gosh, you know, my poor sister. Today is even her birthday. So I've been praying for her and worrying about them, and playing switchboard operator as our parents and grandparents call for updates and they call me to give them.
I mean, damn, you know, I've only seen one of my kids seizing once, and it was so bad that I've permanently blocked it out and can't even remember. *sigh*
Here I thought this whole day was going to be a breeze because I had buzzed Jake's head and cleared all the carpet for vaccuming by 10...
