I decided while we were working on breakfast that maybe I would do something like a ditl. It didn't end up being complete, but it mostly worked for a few hours and hey, this means I'm actually posting pictures (a couple of hours after...) the day I took them!

It was so surprisingly nice and cool out. We had most of the doors open all day.

The dirt in a bottle is seeds Elise is hoping to sprout - she brought the project home from her Girl Scout meeting last week :)

Jake and Elise have these little strawberry plants in this box off the deck railing, and they were SO EXCITED when flowers started yesterday :) My dahlias are always beautiful. Isaac cracked me up when I first put them in, saying he liked them since they sound like, "dollars."

Elise drawing, and Aaron searching for Khan Academy videos when he got lost during math.

Elise eating half a canteloupe, and Jake doing Brainquest.

Elise "playing guitar" and sing-talking, and Isaac reveling in being on Spring Break.
What can I say, she gets around.

They found lizard eggs in the deck box and made them a habitat.

Aaron's been watching this caterpillar all week. We know they turn into mid-sized moths because we've seen them hatch before, but we still haven't figured out what the actual type is.

This is my (new) doctor's office. You can tell I live in a really bustling metropolis. There are framed pictures of her grandkids sitting on top of an antique organ in the waiting room.

Shots. Also: I've lost 13 pounds so far, compared to what I originally weighed in at with her...

This is the rental car we've got until the van has a new computer system installed. In some ways it's cool, but overall I just don't understand the appeal of SUVs. Why would anyone who didn't need the utility of a truck or the extra seating of a van choose to pay the extra for a bigger vehicle up front, and ongoing in the terrible gas mileage? I also feel like I'm sitting up in the ceiling. BUT...it has a USB port inside so I don't need an adapter to charge my phone, or an auxillary cord to play music, which is cool. And the dealer has a subscription to XM Radio on all the cars, which is sort of interesting.

When I got back, a big ol' package had arrived :D This was the best of the bajillion blurry pics Jake took :p

Then we had tea. With ginger cookies, and a meeting to follow about chores.

On the way home from taking Annie to roller derby practice, these two talked about what they saw in the clouds. And then asked if we could please stop to gather pine cones to take home.

BJ's run...Jake and Elise sat and read, while Aaron and Isaac ran errands.

LOOK at those crazy goth roses! Oh, my gosh! Yes, yes they did come home with me. 18 roses are always 9.99 at BJ's, btw, if you would ever find that information useful.

AAAaaand that's where I stopped taking pictures, so, some of what's not shown:
-Grant and I making out in the kitchen, looking at stuff on the internet, and cuddling in bed - which was all really wonderful but so fleeting, as it logged about 30-40 minutes total that we saw each other today. There was a lot of texting, too, though, and the together time was about as swell as a half an hour can be.
-dinner
-reading HP4 to Isaac, and then to Jake and Elise
-watching shows with Annie and Aaron
-me, like an asshole, sitting up alone now after posting this shit, to do my homework :)
