I think overrepresenting can be harmful like in your first paragraph, but I don't see the playing into it thing - I mean, ok, I think that anyone who watches TV especially has to admit that you see as many openly gay characters in an evening as you would in 6 months of real life, or more, depending on where you live. It's also ridiculous, of course, how they play into the over the top stereotypes (like on Will and Grace, which I admittedly find entertaining, or Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, or gay Next on MTV).

Like...gay people are gay people, period. But not all women are "strong women".

I'm too tired to even think and Elise is padding out here to find me. I'm out before I am dead tomorrow.
