I feel like you described that really well, about the person not being there anymore. My husband's grandma died just a couple of months ago, and when we walked by her body to say goodbye, I just lost it. She was gone and her body was left here. Anyway, it was reassuring, too. It's a comfort to really get a sense of my beliefs in a situation like that- like how I believe in souls and stuff, but when I am in a funeral parlor there's always that nagging little doubting voice, but the closer I see death the more sure I am that we are more than just our bodies. Anyway. I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm glad you are able to pray for the people you love like that.
