So, I've been agonizing about this election for months now. Researching, debating online, talking with my husband and my sister.

Today I tried a new (old) angle and just PRAYED about it.

And then I was really excited to go vote for Barack Obama.

In a church, no less!

I like your user icon.
I've been praying since yesterday that people would be able to have peace with their votes, so I'm glad that you were able to vote with your heart and your faith.
I voted about a month ago (military ballot) so it's been extra weird to watch this whole process.

Regardless of your choice (which I obviously agree with) I must say that voting fills me with such glee. I watched a movie called Iron Jawed Angels about how hard women had to fight to get the right to vote and I always am filled with such power on election day.

yeah, once you take that strife the suffragists had to endure into consideration, voting has a whole new meaning for women...

I have seen that, too, and was just talking to my sister about it today.

Ha, that is awesome.

See, it's really hard for me to imagine Bush, or McCain even, engaging a crowd with story-telling like that. Politicians who seem to actually "get it" are so few and far between.

hmm I should really try praying about it, because I'm not feeling Obama AT ALL.

I'd have written in Hillary.

But....writing in Hillary does nobody any good :/

Do you really think Obama is not even better than McCain or Palin?

It's okay. I'm Canadian anyway.

And I may have voted third party instead of writing in Hillary. But I wouldn't vote for Obama in a million years, and I could never bring myself to vote Republican.

=)

I didn't vote last term because my mother had just passed away and quite honestly, it was the last thing on my mind.

I was so PROUD of myself for voting (early), and even prouder an hour ago. I really have a renewed sense of hope.
