Because it will never happen if I don't do it soon...

The Dama Update.

Things That Were Bad About the Trip:
-All but 3 of the 11 of us got really sick and threw up a lot. Aside from just having to suffer with being sick, this cut drastically into our time for non-vomit activities.
-We got rained out of the Everglades. Though it was cool before that.

But! The illness DID give us tons more time to just lay around talking for hours every day, and that was kind of awesome.

And I did get to show her a bunch of food. I didn't realize I had so many foods I wanted to share. I took her to a Cuban bakery, a Cuban restaurant, a local ultra-authentic Mexican restaurant, made her one of my original dinners and we got Frozen Key Lime Pie Dipped In Chocolate On A Stick :D Grant also did a couple of his big breakfast buffet type spreads, and there was a Fabulous Purple Oatmeal morning.

Our Anne's Beach trip was also awesome.

So. On to the (almost 50, get ready) pictures. I was going to break this up, but I can barely squeeze one entry in here, so come on. Besides, as a wireless DSL person I am always annoyed when people break them up and I have to go look at multiple entries.

The 12 passenger van we rented for the week.

I'm not sure when Ananda started making hand gestures at any camera that came her way.

Maria.

Elise.

Luci!

She just slays me.

On our way into Chili's.

They all just sat on our porch swing of their own accord like this. So Grant had them pose. Happy:

Silly:

And screaming:

This was not posed.

Our trip to Anne's Beach:

On the way down it came out that Dama thought all water was solid gray water, and I was really happy to show her our beautiful ocean. I never get enough of this water.

We watched this pelican hunt for awhile.

These two found tons and tons of hermit crabs.

I think this boardwalk was sort of surreal, as though she were touring altarflame's journal rather than going to the beach with us, because I've posted so many pics of it over the last couple of years.

Apparently I never let on how close to the water it really is.

Sleepy baby.

And at the Everglades: impatient to go in the welcome center.

Watching "The Everglades: A River of Grass".

Loudmouth Bird, squawking at us.

After we got rained out the first time, we bought everyone Everglades shirts in the gift shop before moving on to another trail that led to an observation deck, where someone took our picture.

When we got back that night, my sweet husband let Dama and I go out to eat by ourselves while he stayed with all 8 kids, and cleaned the dining room too? While he was here alone with them? And then made the most awesome s'mores ever? My husband.

They were really yummy.

I was really sad to see them go.
