Good and Bad.

The Good in the form of many great pictures of my awesome kids.
Aaron has mastered climbing the tree in our front yard.

I think this is no small feat. I can't get up into that tree :x

Neither can Ananda :/

Isaac has so much character :D

Isn't it awesome that there are palm trees just their size?

They filled that cup with dirt.

The Bad is about my mom.
I don't really understand what's going on with her. Her neck and shoulders started hurting very badly again yesterday. They did a CT scan that showed nothing of note. Today the whole painful area is very swollen and they ordered an MRI. They're going to do another spinal tap too, as well as, of all things, an HIV test.
Todd called me to say he's very worried and getting scared. He said the docs say now she's acting as if it is bacterial instead of viral now, and he said that she's no longer talking and acting as she normally would, but kind of tired and incoherent - which I noticed on the phone earlier. She's also having elevated white blood cells "sometimes" and has a potassium deficiency.
*big sigh*
Everything I read suggests that when adults get menengitis, which is usually a childhood disease, it's usually due to an underlying problem with the immune system - like cancer, or HIV. It scares the crap out of me. And I am absolutely losing my mind about not being there. Grant is supposed to be at Verifone tomorrow and has REALLY pushed it to the limit with them, and he's scheduled to be at the bank all day long Friday, and is on thin ice with them, too. And we desperately need the money from both. And menengitis is contagious and scary for kids.
I'm so tired, in every single way. I'm going to be trying hard to keep busy and do good things with the kids tomorrow, because if I stop and think I'll go crazy and if I just stop to rest, I'll fall asleep.

Date: 2007-12-20 04:07 pm (UTC)I could be wrong but I feel as though this will spark more curiosity, so I'll just say...
Ananda and Aaron are 13 months apart
Aaron and Isaac are 32 months apart
Isaac and Jake are 20 months apart
Jake and Elise are 18 months apart
Jake and Elise feel like I have a pair of babies for the first time in a long time, even though Isaac and Jake were both nursing and in diapers together...Isaac was just so verbal, and in his own bed, and stuff like that when Jake came along, and the two of them didn't bond until recently. I haven't felt like I do now about the way my two youngest are since I had Ananda and Aaron.

Date: 2007-12-20 04:32 pm (UTC)I have been following you since Jake was born so I knew the gap for J&E and the space between A&A stuck in my head since the first time I heard it, but the other two I wasn't sure on. I do remember you talking about how you missed the pair aspect when Jake was born, but even if Aaron and Isaac were 20 months apart that would have felt like a big gap after A&A, so I wasn't sure.

That last photo of Elise smiling may, in fact, have caused my ovaries to burst. She is just. too. cute. :-D
