Jan. 8th, 2008 03:15 amBecause of fears about my heart since this last surgery, and learning a lot about how sleep deprivation is bad for your heart, I've made a second New Years resolution - to sleep this year.
Which means that at times like now when I'm bursing to write for an hour and a half and record all kinds of things I'd like to remember and share...I'm going to force myself to go to bed instead. Even though all the kids are asleep and the kitchen is clean and the laundry's been done, and I have free alone time. It's really freaking hard for me. But I think it's important. Unfortunately.
Arg.
My other New Years Resolution is going fairly well - the depression of no sugar is starting to wear off (although the temptation part is getting worse). I haven't had any more dizzy spells or sudden fits of lightheaded nausea since I cut it out, and a couple of pairs of my pants are already fitting more comfortably after just one week. My sister is saying she can see a difference but I think that must be in her head. Who knows, I guess.
Alright alright BED, gosh!
